Problem Solving and New Progress

Work on our new factory continues to take shape, and it's fantastic to see the project grow week by week. As with any major construction project, challenges sometimes arise that call for new solutions. This week we ran into one such challenge regarding the power supply to the factory. The original solution turned out to involve considerably more work than expected, which meant we had to rethink our approach.

Fortunately, there's always a solution to every problem. After reviewing the situation, we found an alternative route that actually turned out to be both better and more obvious. It's often only when you're standing in the middle of reality that the best solutions become clear. We now hope for quick processing from our electricity supplier so that we can soon get power to the building.
We're also pleased to announce that the building is now fully weathertight. During the week, all the gates and doors were installed, and the result turned out really nice. The black doors harmonize perfectly with the anthracite-grey façade and give the building a sleek, modern look.
The slab for our wood chip silo has also been poured. It will be left to cure properly over the coming days before we begin assembly in the middle of next week. It will be an exciting phase that requires careful planning, skilled fitters and the help of cranes. The silo will be built from the top down, suspended from a crane during assembly, which makes the process both unusual and interesting. We're really looking forward to carrying it out.
Inside, the work has also taken major steps forward. We've started installing LED fixtures and cable trays in the factory, an important part of preparing for the upcoming routing of air, electrical and control systems to our machines and processes.
Our various workstations are now nearing completion and, just as planned, will be clad in wood panelling. The wood will become a natural part of the factory's identity and reflects our focus on the handle and wood products of the future. It will be a clear expression of our DNA throughout the entire facility.
We're now heading toward the end of September, so be sure to enjoy the last lovely days of late summer.
