Stalpen is a mechanical Tree Felling Jack that provides full control over the direction of fall, even when the tree’s natural lean is unfavourable. With a highly reliable design without wire rope or straps, 17× force multiplication and a maximum lifting capacity of 2600 kg, Stalpen is a dependable tool for safe and controlled tree felling.

The safety crank features a friction-based multi-plate clutch combined with a ratchet gear and pawl that effectively prevents kickback. This construction allows cranking in both directions without manual handling of the ratchet mechanism, ensuring smooth, controlled and safe operation.
Unlike many other tree felling devices, Stalpen does not use wire rope, nylon straps or similar drive systems. This significantly reduces the risk of tangling, wear and mechanical failure, resulting in exceptional operational reliability even during heavy and repeated use.
The gearing multiplies the applied force by 17, providing a recommended maximum lifting capacity of 2600 kg. A stable base prevents the jack from catching in root systems, while the split design with quick coupling makes Stalpen easy to transport and handle in the field.
Stalpen is a powerful aid but does not replace winches or specialised machinery for extremely hazardous operations. Sound judgement, planning and professional experience are always essential for safe tree felling.
